MEKONG DELTA 3 DAYS
MY THO - BEN TRE - CAN THO - CHAU DOC
Day 1 : Depart from our office to My Tho by AC bus. Upon arrival at My Tho, cruising along small creek to Mekong River estuary, to Con Phung (Phoenix Island) and stop over a garden restaurant at a local house for Vietnamese lunch. The motorized boat cruises along natural creeks and quiet village in Ben Tre Province. Visit orchards, bee - keeping farm, taste natural honey and honey wine, enjoy tropical fruit, traditional music, see round a distillery, explore the local coconut candy production process, taste candy & coconut pulp. Then, we continue go to Can Tho for over-night.
Day 2 : A boat will take you cruising to the bustling Cai Rang & Phong Dien floating market, take peaceful scenery & the daily activities of the local who live along Mekong river, roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill, rice noodle making shop… . After lucnh break, go to Chau Doc by bus. On arriving, check in hotel. Visiting the Caved pagoda & Lady Chua Xu temple, then, climbing up Sam mountain where you can view over the VN – CAM border and admire the sunset in the countryside. Over night in Chau Doc.
Day 3 : after breakfast, taking the boat ride to visit a floating village and fish farm raised under floating houses. Next visiting a Cham Islamic minority village, the home of Cham weavers and the local mosque. Have lunch, then travel to Can Tho. On the way visit incense stick home workshop in Long Xuyen, viewing the daily activities of the local people along the tributaries of the Mekong River. Then will be stop at the Bonsai garden in My Tho on the way back to Saigon.
